Another sketch for Life Drawing.
Actual size about 1.5 feet tall (second shot for scale). Medium – 4H
graphite pencil, mechanical pencil (2B 0.5mm lead), and 0.5mm
ball-point pen (black).Graphite pencil used for layout, mechanical pencil for shading/hair, and ball-point for line work.
I’m starting to like mixing mediums, especially ball-point for the detail work.

Lovely shading.
The subtle toning/detailing is a nice contrast with the bold linework, and makes for some nice complementing. Makes me nostalgic to work in graphite again..

I just got the SD700. I’m not sure if the 700 is better in high ISO, but the image stabilization really helps a lot with low light conditions. I’m able to still produce crisp pictures at slow shutter speeds. I think the IS is worth the price difference but that’s just me.

I like the tone and contrast of the lines. How long did she pose for that? It looks like a pretty intense stance.
I like the drawing below a lot too. furious/frenzied messily organized lines are my favorite.
