  • Another sketch for Life Drawing.

Actual size about 1.5 feet tall (second shot for scale). Medium – 4H
graphite pencil, mechanical pencil (2B 0.5mm lead), and 0.5mm
    ball-point pen (black).

Graphite pencil used for layout, mechanical pencil for shading/hair, and ball-point for line work.

I’m starting to like mixing mediums, especially ball-point for the detail work.

    “Don’t leave me high.”

  • This is a two-minute sketch using charcoal stick – to scale, about two
feet tall. My primary objective was to capture the entirety of the
human form and the overall gesticulation. In a stroke of luck (call it
a good day), I found a delineation that was to my liking, especially
the upper hand. Not to flaunt my well-crafted ego, but for those of you
    that have
taken life drawing, you can recognize the glory in this.

“Fool enough to almost be it…”
